What is BBPS?

Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is an integrated bill payment system which will offer interoperable and accessible bill payment service to customers online The system will provide multiple payment modes and instant confirmation of payment.

How can I make the payment for my bill using BBPS?

Customer can login into Equitas Mobile Banking Application / Internet Banking Application to make the bill payment using BBPS. Customer needs to click on Payments option => select BBPS option.

Will I get a payment receipt after the bill payment has been made?

Yes, customer will get the instant confirmation on payment and acknowledgement receipts via SMS and Emails to their registered mobile number and Emails.

Can I Set Auto pay for my recurring payments?

Yes, customer can set Auto Pay for recurring payments. The auto pay can be set with a specific date every month for recurring and with a maximum cap limit as needed by user.

What are the recurring payments that can be done?

Customer can do all recurring payments across categories in BBPS like electricity, telecom, DTH, Gas, water bills, Insurance, Loan repayments, Education fees, FasTag Recharge, Municipal taxes, Housing society, Subscription fees etc.

What are the current biller categories in BBPS?
The categories that are currently covered in BBPS are electricity, telecom, DTH, Gas, water bills, Insurance, Loan repayments, Education fees, FasTag Recharge, Municipal taxes, Housing society, Subscription fees, Credit Card etc.
How can I raise a complaint?

Customer can register compliant using mobile banking application / internet banking application.

What are transaction charges for a bill payment?

There are -NIL- charges for bill payment initiated from mobile banking / internet banking application. 

What are the timings for BBPS transactions?

BBPS Services are available 24*7 days including public holidays.

If the transaction is not completed when will I get my money back?

Customer will get the refund in 2 to 3 working days and is dependent on biller processing TAT

Is there any transactions limit for making payment-using BBPS?

Currently the max auto pay limit of INR 50,000 and daily transaction limit using BBPS is set at INR 1,00,000

What happens if my billed amount is greater than the Auto Pay limit set?

If your billed amount is > than the auto pay amount, bank will reject the transaction and notification via email / sms will be triggered to the customer. This is to safeguard basis the instruction provided by the customer and customer can re-initiate a fresh payment again for the same biller using Equitas mobile app / internet banking.

Is there a waiting period for registration or setting up of an Auto pay?

Currently there is no waiting period for registration / auto pay enablement / for executing a payment with the biller.

Is there an expiry period for any biller being registered?

Currently there is no waiting period for registration / auto pay enablement / for executing a payment with the biller.

 Is there an expiry period for Auto pay or can user cancel a single Auto pay set?

There is no expiry period once the auto pay is set, user can either delete the auto pay for the biller or cancel the specific month’s auto pay set.
